This is an accidental project… I picked up the Deathwatch Overkill box to supplement my Genestealer Cults army. The Deathwatch models weren’t of specific interest to me. That was until Kill Team came along. The models in the box were perfect for constructing a Kill Team, so I painted just enough models to get once completed. Recently I complete the remaining models from that box
With the release of the Conquest magazine I found myself in possession of some spare Intercessors, so I completed a second team (after picking up the Deathwatch shoulder pauldrons).
I added a couple of characters…
And Inquisitor Rackham and the start of his retinue…
And that’s my Deathwatch so far. I hadn’t really planned on turning them into a full 40k army, but I’ve played a couple of 500pt games and they’ve proven fun. Maybe I’ll add another unit at some stage and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t fancy the idea of painting a Corvus Blackstar!
