Bane Knights
The Bane Knights mark the end of my push to get Cryx miniatures painted. All that remains now is to get all 30 miniatures that I’ve painted over the last two weeks based.

The Knights were painted using a different, but hopefully complimentary, colour scheme. I was torn between painting them as ethereal ghosts (to fit with their Ghostly rule) or as something a little more corporeal. I opted for the latter and decided to do a paint scheme that is quite similar to the ‘official’ colour Scheme.

Once undercoated I drybrushed the armour areas with GW Boltgun Metal and a dab of GW Chaos Black. This was highlighted with GW Mithril Silver. The bronze areas were painted with the GW Graveyard Earth and P3 Brass Balls mix (1:1). The skulls were highlighted from GW Scorched Brown, through Bestial Brown, Snakebite Leather, 1:1 Snakebite Leather and Bleached Bone, and finally Bleached Bone. The eyes were dotted with GW Ice Blue. The ethereal ‘skirt was painted Scorched Earth and highlighted through 3-4 drybrushes with an increasing amount of Bleached Bone added. The whole lot was washed in a 1:1 mix of Devlan Mud and Badab Black (which is a great general purpose wash that I keep premixed).
