This time out we decided to create our own scenario and we used Tac Ops for the first time. The main objectives were set to simulate an attack on the Blood Angels’ squad as they made their way through the tunnels of Niades. Phil decided taking out my leader would be his secondary and I decided Implant would make for an appropriate secondary.
This turned out to be an excellent game. It really felt like an ambush, with the Space Marines moving tentatively forward while the cultists moved into position to pounce.
There wasn’t a single cultist left alive by the end of the game and they managed to take down two of the Emperor’s chosen. It was tight in the end with the Blood Angels winning by a single VP.
I think that’s enough for now. These games have been fun, but it might be time to start telling our own stories, rather than copying the ones from the show!
