Low and fast… that was the name of the game for this Bombing Mission (P.59 Rynn’s World Air War – Campaign Book). My flight drawn form the 83rd Imperial Navy Flight Wing approaches the Ork Battle Fortresses with their throttles fully open. The plan was to destroy them before they approached within bombardment range of the city. Attempting to gun them down was Steelsnag and his Scraptorz. This game was a vicious affair. The Imperials managed to destroy their ground targets but the attrition on both sides was high. Neither commander survived and only one aircraft from each side managed to get away.
The campaign rules have progression potential for pilots, but it’s hard to see how that might happen with such a low survival rate, certainly from 100pt games!
