The Orks slowed the Necrons, but they are again advancing on the site. My team will intercede and delay.

The Game

Rafal took command of his Necrons and I used by Deathwatch in this 125pt game using the Shifting Priorities mission (P.143 in Elites).

Some highlights:

  • Objective 3 disappearing. This was one of the objectives near me. You have to expect it in this scenario, but we diced for it after I’d completed my move (we forgot at the start of the turn). I should have gone back and moved my models that were near it…
  • Reanimation Protocols featured heavily. Rafal’s team healed 3 flesh wounds with me rolling 6’s!
  • My team being reduced to just my leader.

This ended up being a very swingy game. The Deathwatch were in a decent position for most of it, but once the Necrons started healing (spectacularly when my Frag Cannon was set to take out two of them!), the game went their way.

We have failed. The Necrons would not stay down. They are on their way and there seem to be more arising. My team is in a bad way. Those that survived are in hiding with me.

Until next time,
