The wargames club is running a 40k Crusade, so I decided to join with my Blood Angels. We’re using the Armageddon Crusade ruleset with some minor liberties. I’ve played two games so far, both of which against armies I’ve never faced before.

Of Skull and Angels

The first game was against Luke’s World Eaters. It was a close game, with things being decided at the very end of the game. It was also a (very red and) bloody affair with Blood Angels and their hated foe exacting a bloody toll from each other.

Blood-soaked; Plague-ridden

The second game was against Justin’s Death Guard, though half of the army was a Chaos Knight. With a very elite army, I was able to see Justin’s full deployment pretty much before deciding where to commit my units. All of my heavy hitters lined up opposite the Knight… it died in Turn 1. From that point the Death Guard were on the back foot. I fed units into the right flank to stall a unit of Blightlord Terminators, but other than that the Blood Angels dominated.

Until next time,
