Constable Misbegot & Ampersands wasn’t happy. A nervous Nothingfjord Blue had exploded all over her. Dragon entrails were unpleasant. The rest of the team were keeping their distance. Dragon entrails were also smelly. They had a dozen missing, and prone to exploding, dragons and only a couple of leads; a missed coal delivery from Knobblers and Sons and some guy who was showing an unsubtle interest in all things draconic in the Lamp and Needles. Detective Bartholemew ‘Bart’ Hamrahan figured it was a three-cigarette walk over the bridge to Dimewell and the coal merchants. He lined the cigarettes up between his fingers and lit the first. He’d taken up chain smoking since his death. Well… it was hardly going to kill him. Most people didn’t seem to mind the smoke puffing out of the deathhole in his breast armour. Besides it masked his undeathly odour. The pace was slow… it always was with Bart and Misb, but that just seemed to give Constable Cliff, the irrepressibly cheery troll, more time to make friends along the way. He really was the Public Relations face of the Watch. They were quite a sight to behold, but then again pretty much everything in Ankh-Morpork was, which I suppose means they weren’t really much of a sight at all.

Dave ran the introductory adventure for the soon-to-be-released Terry Pratchett’s Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork recently. I’m ashamed to say I’ve only read one Discworld book (Mort). I really enjoyed it, but just didn’t get to any others. I’m going to try to rectify that!

The introductory adventure was excellent and Dave ran in expertly. Much silliness and fun ensued! Bart was a fun character to play. I played him as a streetwise copy who was afraid of any of his necrotic bits and pieces falling off! Such is the silliness one can probably expect from this game and the world it’s set in.

I’m very much looking forward to returning to Ankh-Morpork when the game releases.

Until next time,

Owen
