Gun Carriage progress…

Progress has been pretty good on the Gun Carriage. The carriage itself is 90% done leaving the base and crew as the next things to tackle. Hopefully I’ll get more done this week. Owen

Gamers Hub – New Wargames Shop in Maynooth, Ireland

We have a new wargames shop here in Maynooth called Gamers Hub. It opened a couple of weeks ago and stocks Privateer Press (Warmachine and Hordes), Games Workshop (Warhammer, 40k, etc.), CCG (Magic The Gathering and all that nonsense!), board games and plenty of other things. Ethan, the store owner, can order in anything you [...]

Sylys Wyshnalyrr: Complete

I was tempted to call this post “Wyshnalyrr and I”… Anyway, I painted this guy for September’s Paint the Target (G’Day Bloke was good enough to include it, despite my late submission). I undercoated him white and then used washed to colour him. Quick and easy and the result is passable! October’s challenge is to [...]

Warmachine/Hordes Tournament Report (Dublin; 8th October 2011)

Running the tournament yesterday was a pleasure – 16 enthusiastic and skilled players turned up and played four very competitive games each. Wargames Audit: Warmachine and Hordes

Audit. A word that strikes fear into managers everywhere. If you’re in a business area that doesn’t get audited I envy you! That said taking stock of any activity can be a healthy exercise, so in this series of posts I’m going to reflect on what games I play and how I’ve fared with them [...]

Kallus vs pSkarre (35pt Battle Report)

Peter and I got a game in this evening with the new Legion warlock facing off against pSkarre. Peter’s force was all Satyxis (Raiders and Blood Witches), their respective UAs/solos, Mechanithralls, Skarlock and a Leviathan. In Kallus’ force I had a Ravagore, Carnivean, Shredder, Shepherd, Deathstalker, max Warmongers and max Legionnaires. This was my first [...]

Kallus, Wrath of Everblight: Complete

I’m more content than happy with how this guy turned out. He has a bit too much metal on him for me, but what can I expect from a model that’s covered head to toe in armour! Owen

My Ninja shopper Stu sent this model back from GenCon. I couldn’t wait to get it on the painting table. Here’s the result – Here are the photos I took while painting him. The base still needs to be done – I’ll get to it over the weekend. Enjoy! Owen
