Arrr… here be Pirates!
Progress on my Privateer force, my MkII project, is going pretty well. Here is a gallery of photographs -
Captain Phinneas Shae
First Mate Hawk
Lord Rockbottom, Expetidion Financier
Doc Killingsworth
Bosun Grogspar
Mariner
Buccaneer
Sea Dog Crew
Sea Dog Riflemen
As I mentioned before this is a strange project. I bought some of the miniatures painted. Everything shown here has seen some paint from me to touch them up, but the Mariner, Buccaneer and Bosun Grogspar were painted from scratch, as was one of the Sea Dogs. They are coming along nicely now. I’ll post a painting guide for the ‘jacks soon.

Awesome stuff man! The only thing I don’t like so much is the face of Hawk; she looks a bit old for hot pirate lass like she. The face of the sea dog lass looks better.
The minis are great but the bases steal the show. Did you make those yourself? They look fantastic!
@Deacis I was thinking exactly the same thing when I was taking the photo. I’ll get some lighter flesh tone on her face and touch up the lips and eyes. She looks like a granny who’s had too much cosmetic surgery at the moment.
@Gareson I wish I had those skills. They are resin casts, but I’m not sure where they came from. The front right base in the Sea Dogs photo and the one with the girl firing the multi-barrel pistol were made by me (unfortunately it shows!).

@Gareson – I decided to give sculpting my own bases a try.
